I applied with just a resume through Indeed and within two weeks, I got an email where I was told about the exclusivity of the next steps. The first step was to answer an open book quiz about the organization. After turning that in, I was scheduled for an interview. The interview was a total of 14 minutes. I was asked more about the company, about my experience fundraising, my interest in the company, and if I was self-motivated. Not once was I asked about my experience in the field or my technical skills. I truly doubt they even knew about my work experience. There was no further description of the position or the tasks it would involve. Nothing about the type of work I'd do except fundraising $500 by reaching out to family and friends and writing letters to individuals. When I asked the interviewer about how they did fundraising, they told me that they had to do a lot of creative thinking like bake sales, selling clothes, asking for family help, and having a garage sale. When I asked about projects I would do, I was told that sometimes "interns go on the facebook page and reach out to people in the area to ask if they want to mobilize together", not really a marketing project or even something described by their website. To be honest, it sounds like the titles are formalities for having volunteers for fundraising, which is totally fine if you need them; you just can't insist on telling me this is exclusive when you can't really give me more examples of projects that I'll be involved in within the field in the title of your position that aren't fundraising and mobilizing. Probably a great opportunity for folks who are interested in understanding non profit work but definitely not for working professionals trying to develop skills in Marketing.

Fairly easy, started with having to answer several questions about the company and yourself followed by an online interview which lasted 10 minutes. The general questions asked were on the candidates strengths, weaknesses and why they would be a good fit for the role.

It was an easy process. You initially take a Google form to answer questions about their organization then you move on to a video interview. From then on, your interviewer will let you know if you got the internship or not. Overall, the actual interview only took about 15 minutes.
