The team provided a structured schedule of the day which consisted of;
1) Ice Breaker: where we had to go around the room and speak to other candidates and find out common interests. Then you have to present all the information collated from the ice breaker and relay this to the rest of the group within 1 minute.
2) Group Task 1: Given an activity where you have to discuss with your team a possible solution for a survival task. Then present results to your group hosts.
3) Group Task 2: Given a scenario where you have to devise questions to probe a client who will be acted by one of the Teradata team. Each member of the group is assigned a role which will follow throughout the task. Then you have to create a presentation where you outline your proposed solution and what you plan to conduct (time, budget). It would be good to use Teradata services, in your answers.
4) 1 to 1 Interview: Lasts around 45 minutes with a member of the senior team where they ask you a variety of questions, a lot of them are around your personal experience/situations you have faced.
5) Group Presentation: 15 minutes demonstrating your proposed solution then questions will be asked.
It is important to note, that the Teradata team are reviewing you from the minute you walk in. All members of staff participating in the assessment day will be noting down your progress throughout the day, so be aware of them around you. For the group presentation, expect about 15 candidates and around 8 staff members watching you which may be seen as a lot which I think is a real test for candidates.
