Some time after applying online, I recieved a phone call from the HR Manager of the store to set up an interview. You are expected to come ~15min early to complete a questionairre on the computer. It's a multiple-choice answer test with scenarios and outcomes. It's a little tricky. You'll wait a while, perhaps in the cafe, until the first interviewer greets you and takes you to the office. My interviewer was a Team Lead.
Target's questions are all scripted. They are the same every interview, and the interviewer has to write them down. So it's a little awkward while the interviewer writes down your answers. My advice is to connect with them. If you can't, it's all up to how badly they need you. There were scenario questions, mainly to do with customer service, how you feel about work, etc. No real history questions.
After that interview, I was led to another person, I believe a "LOD", and asked duplicate questions. Same process. Afterwards he had me meet with the HR Manager. She gave me the drug test information and sent me on my way.

Tell me about a time you had trouble completing a task on time.
The interview were very straightforward and the atmosphere was relaxed. I spoke with a shift lead and then the HR manager. The questions were typical and there was some discussions.

This was a few years ago, but I just went in and spoke with the manager in their office. Very casual and quick interview. Only 1 interview was required which was nice!

It was very quick and I was hired on immediately. I was a college student going to TAMU Galveston at the time. The team was pretty easy going but just not there to help me grow as an individual.
