      Entrevista

      I was promptly contacted for my first interview, which I had in-store with the store's manager. A few days later, I was called for my second interview at the same store. The questions were all story-telling, just as others have said ("tell me about a time when..."), but many of the questions were somewhat far-fetched and very specific (i.e. tell me about a time when you knew your boss was wrong and you needed to correct them). After my second interview, the interviewer (who was a store manager from another store in the area) told me to wait while she figured out if I would be able to do a third interview that day. The interviewer wasn't available, so they called me a week later to schedule my third interview, which was at the same store but with the district manager, who asked the same sorts of questions as before. The interview went well, and the district manager told me she would see where she could place me and that I would be hearing from an HR rep sometime soon. After two weeks, I hadn't heard anything, so I called the HR rep that had scheduled my interviews and she informed me that the interviewer liked me, but didn't see a fit in her district so she passed my resume and interview packet along to another district manager. That manager passed it to another manager, for the same reason. Finally, a month after my third interview, I got a rejection e-mail saying they had decided to pursue other candidates. Start to finish, the interview process took nearly two months. Luckily for Target, I love their store too much to stop shopping there, but I certainly don't think I will apply for another job with them anytime soon.

      It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.
