Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 2 días. Acudí a una entrevista en Talent Telecom Solutions (Upland, CA) en may 2017

      Entrevista

The interview is a three part process including a phone conversation with an hr representative. Role is advertised as a salaried job with paid training, and I confirmed this with the hr representative that it was not a sales/commission job and it was a salaried job with a structured and consistent work schedule. The first interview was mostly about my work experience and the man who interviewed me told me that the job starts with paid training that essentially consisted of acquiring new customers for Verizon Fios and eventually the position turns into the management trainee position. Clearly not the job advertised, but I gave it a chance. I asked about the paid training and asked if it was hourly or comission. He told me he could not tell me as he was not the manager who I would be working with and he scheduled me for a second interview the next day. When I arrived the next day at 9am I was supposed to meet with an "account manager" but was told they were all busy and interviewed with the same man as the day before. The "CEO" greeted me and the numerous applicants in the waiting area. There were at least ten others interviewing. My second interview was where I learned about the "management trainee" program. This is where the red flags were too hard to ignore. The trainee program starts with a paid internship-then goes to a manager position with "the potential to earn 700-1300 a week" and then to another manager position that is a salaried role of 1000 a week and then leads to a management role where you are promised your own office and team of people to train to go through the same process. Essentially, this is a pyramid scheme. I asked about the paid training and how the pay was decided and again was told he could not tell me and that the CEO would discuss this as I interviewed with him. I was told I would advance to the third interview and was handed a questionnaire to fill out. The questions were about what I learned about the company, how the interview went and why I was interested in the job. The "CEO" sat down with me for my third interview and asked me if the man who interviewed me did a good job. He asked if I was shown the management trainee chart and I said I did but would like to know more information about the pay for a management trainee. I was finally given an answer, the training pays at $200 a week. At that point I had already decided to decline the offer but persisted to see what kind of compensation was given to trainees. I politely declined the offer as it was definitely not what was advertised, what I was looking for nor did have real job stability. This job may be great for a kid fresh out of high school who doesn't really have any experience and can live off comission or $200 dollars a week.
