After the initial phone screening, I had 3 interviews, 1 virtual and 2 in person. During the first virtual interview, they really dug into my past experience, my ability to handle the responsibilities they required for the role, and what I was looking for in a job and a future career. This was the most difficult portion, but fairly standard questions. The second interview was in-person and was much more casual, getting a sense of whether or not I would be a good culture fit for their team. Immediately after that, I had another in-person interview with someone I would have been working with directly, mostly so they could tell me about their day-to-day operations and allow me to ask any additional questions. Overall they were friendly and professional, but they were overly pushy when it came to contacting my references - they called them many times, asked me to contact them many times, and were disorganized when doing so - not exactly what I expected from a professional recruiting company. The only other "red flag" was when one of the interviewers at one point told me that they didn't really find their place at the company until 3 years in, and the job made them cry all the time - "I was even crying this morning" they said while nervously laughing. And they were in the same role I was interviewing for.
