I emailed someone at the company over LinkedIn but there were no job openings at that time. Saw Mechatronics Developer position open and emailed that person again and got invited for an in-person interview right away. I had 2 sessions. First session was Director of Engineering and a Manager for 1 hour and second session was with 3 engineers. Only technical questions were asked in both the sessions. I had prepared a presentation of my previous work. First session was limited to the presentation and high-level technical questions based on that. Second session also included questions around things that I had done that were not shown in the presentation. Questions were more technically in-depth. Both the interviews were very relaxed and friendly. The initial offer came around 6 weeks over email after the interview with bunch of forms (for background checks, etc.). It did not have salary info. I sent the forms back in couple of days. Negotiated on salary and benefits was done over the phone and final offer was made in about a week from the initial email offer which I accepted. Overall it took about 2 months from initial contact to final offer.
