Submitted online application, got phone call to come in for an interview. Had an interview at the center with the center director, got a call back after the weekend about coming in and observing to make sure it was the environment I wanted to work in. After observing, I officially accepted.

What is your most/least favorite thing about teaching?
I called over the phone to ask about any possible positions at my local Sylvan. He asked me to send over a resume so I did. We then scheduled an interview and following the interview, I was asked to join the team. The interview was very nice and enjoyable!

Entrevista
Content test, followed by brief teaching demonstration, followed by a 15-20 minute interview including ideas and experiences with education and several hypothetical classroom scenarios. One interviewer was a tutor, another was the HR representative. The interview was conducted in a tutoring center with several other potential tutors present being interviewed. The teaching demonstration covered very rudimentary content and I was given about 10 minutes to prepare. Content certifications can also be done after hiring so don't stress if you feel like you need to brush up on a subject. An offer was made on the spot for those hired, and those not hired were told they'd receive a follow up call several days later.
