Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 3 días. Acudí a una entrevista en Strong Memorial Hospital (Rochester, NY) en dic 2014
Entrevista
I emailed the head of nursing recruitment rather than just applying online and told her what my interests were. She set-up an interview for me with the department that seemed to fit best with my interests. The interview was disorganized - I shadowed in the wrong area of the department the first day and wasn't able to meet with the nurse manager, just the nurse leader. I'm great about following-up on a job when I'm interested, but I wasn't. They followed-up with me and invited me back for a second interview with the nurse manager present and offered to have my shadow in the correct area of the department. I went in a third time and shadowed in the correct area and interviewed with the other nurse leader. I received an offer very shortly afterward.

They didn't ask too many questions about me - just told me about the department. They neglected to tell me about upcoming changes to the department, however.

I shadowed the unit I was interested in for a few hours. After the shadowing experience, it was followed by a group interview a few other nurses and then a solo interview. Overall, positive experience.

Met with nurse recruitment, who are a pleasant & helpful bunch, and they tried to find a match between my interests and hospital-need. They set up several "shadows" for me in which I spent four hours with an RN on the unit so that I could get a sense for what working there was like. Afterwards I received my first interview with the Nurse manager, which was informal in feel but thorough in nature. The next interview was with all members of the units leadership team, and the last one was with staff.
