I walked in and ask for an application. I filled it out and handed it in. 4-5 days later, the store manager called me in for an interview. I tried to research as much as I can about the company. So I arrived at the interview 30 minutes early. The manager, the district manager, and a sales associate was impressed because that never happened before. I also showed up in a nice business dress. The sales associate complimented me. The manager escorted me to the benches near the store. She started off by saying that she has never reviewed a application that was completed fully and correctly like mine. I took out a writing pad and pen for any key things about the company. The interview lasted 5 MINUTES! She seem disappointed with my professionalism. I included that I spoke a little Spanish and she was elated because no one in the store spoke Spanish. I asked questions about the company and I had an open schedule. I also have experience with retail and children. I included that I love challenge and don't mind physical work. I was truthful throughout the interview. I was hoping that would make her say OMG this girl is amazing, but she ended off the short interview by saying, "If I want you, I'll call you." It has been a week and a half and I have not heard from her. To me, she was jealous. She was a young manager and I don't think that she was willing to hire someone who is determined to work or excel her expectations.
