Applied via Indeed and the same day got a message to schedule a 15-minute phone interview. I scheduled it for the only time slot available the following week.
When I received the call, the person on the other end was very rushed. She advised the call is being recorded for quality control and training purposes. As I answered her questions, at different points I could tell she wanted me to stop talking so as to not exceed the allotted 15 minutes. It was like being interviewed by a call centre agent who needing to hit certain metrics.
Also, requirements said u/w experience preferred but will consider someone with solely advisor experience. I was able to indicate on the application 0 years u/w experience, with "x" years advisor experience. Application also asked if I had a completed designation, to which I replied no as my designation is still in progress. However, during the interview the agent asked me to describe my u/w experience. She also asked if I had a completed designation. Clearly my application had not been reviewed.
She ended by saying if moving forward in the interview process I'd get a notification on Indeed within a few days. Just a couple hours later I logged on to Indeed to check the status of a different submission, and the Square One application already said "Not selected by employer". I was actually in shock. It's ironic that they tout a culture of value and respect on their website career page, yet can't even extend that courtesy applicants.
