The interview process at Sprout was interesting and surprisingly fun, and it moved really quickly. I applied online and got an email the next day about setting up a phone screen. That took about 20 minutes and was a general conversation about career path, what I was looking for, basics about Sprout and the interview process. At that point, I was interested in two different positions, so Amy spoke to me about both of them and made a recommendation of which position to pursue.
Next, I had a 25 minute phone conversation with my potential manager. We rehashed some of the previous conversation—Sprout culture, career goals, etc.—and she gave me more details about the team and the responsibilities.
Then I came into the office for a tour and individual interviews with four members of the team who I might work with. The meetings were casual conversations; one person had a lot of specific questions which kept me on my toes but the rest were fairly straightforward questions that you'd expect in an interview. After that, I was asked to complete a work sample, and shortly after they reviewed it, I received an offer.
It was easy to get a sense of Sprout's culture, people and operations throughout the interview process—communication was pleasant and efficient, everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the team gave me (and other new folks) an enthusiastic welcome when we got started.
