Spreetail offers a lot of reasons why you would want to join their team. They also do a fantastic job of guiding you on how you should prepare to interview with them, if you do your homework on their website and social media sites. I researched everything, watched every video, read every piece of advice, and was really excited to interview with a company that promotes communication and clear feedback. Since I have a background that matched the job description, I was really excited to share my experiences and learn more about the opportunity. Once I submitted my resume I received an email from someone out of their people and culture division to set up a call. We decided on a date and time and she said she would call me on that day. At the appointed time, I was waiting for her call and 5 minutes after she called me seemingly frustrated that her internet was not working at home and she was at a coffee shop. The impression I got from the start was that she had no interest in talking to me and that her frustrations were more important. She said she would have me on mute since it was so loud behind her. I reassured her that it wasn't a problem and began by telling her a little about my background, but it really felt like I was talking to a wall. She kept it really short and said she'd be in touch. The next day I got a " we have decided to not proceed forward" email from her. I wrote her back and told her thank you for letting me know and that I am still very interested in the company. Asked if there was any feedback she could give me on my interview or any specific call outs that kept her from moving me forward, as I always want to learn and grow. I never heard back from her. I wouldn't expect to get feedback from most companies, but spreetail goes over the top on how they live for clear communication and direct feedback. Needless to say I was disappointed by the whole experience and didn't feel like this particular person represented the core values of the company at all.
