Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Sports Direct (Greenwich, Inglaterra) en oct 2016
Entrevista
I applied online late September 2016 for a Part-time Christmas Sales Associate and I got invited for an interview 3 weeks later at their office in North Greenwich. A day before the interview, I already made some researches about the company and also possible interview questions on Glassdoor. The interview was scheduled for 12:40 but on arrival, I was asked to sit upstairs as I came 5 minutes before the interview. At about 12:40, I was yet to be ushered in as I was told an interview was still be conducted and I had to wait till 12:49 before the store manager requested to see me. I wasn't happy with this process because interviews are meant to be conducted at the right timing. Although, he was friendly and asked questions about my school before going further to read my CV. He also explained the role and the initiative the role requires. He asked me if I had further questions and I asked him if there was an opportunity to be full-time after the Christmas Sales. I was asked to wait till the end of the day or a day after for the result. My opinion was that they may have selected the individuals they wanted and hence, I was given no offer .

It started of pretty awkward and the room was really hot. They seemed not to interested in me and were not very engaged with the interview but rather just having it to say they have had it whilst checking of boxes

Very direct and short just common question about past experience and why you are suited to the role your applying for. Confidence is key as well as, examples of how and when you’ve demonstrated similar skills required to do the job you are applying for in the past. You want the interviewer to feel and believe you are more than capable of completing the tasks at hand independently.
