      Entrevista

      Overall interview complexity is easy. Karat screening: small coding problem (not DSA), series of questions about DevOps and system design. There were two rounds: 2nd one was about system design and I didn't have problems with it. But during the 1st one I had a feeling that I am participating in a contest where participants are assessed by some traits but not related to coding or communication skills. I've been interviewed by Splunk's Principal Engineer. The company is now in the process of acquisition by CISCO so that it can be a reason of interviewer's odd behaviour and unstable nervous system. Why I am saying this? Because during the interview she told me that "she is shaking because of me" and "she is so disrespected" that I am asking her questions about the coding problem I have been doing. This is weird because after the interview I have received a feedback that I "began working on the given problem without asking any clarifying questions.". I had an impression that she wanted me to solve the given problem in some very specific way she wanted. At first she said "code can not compile", so I accepted it without mentioning that python is interpreted language but then she was obsessed which library and methods I use for handling HTTP requests despite of the fact that at the application layer it doesn't make any difference in which way you solve a problem. I feeling wrongness because I initially thought that this is behavioural questions checking my stress levels. I am annoyed by the fact that during the failed part I asked the interviewer should I proceed to the next scheduled interview taking into account how bad I performed according to her words and she didn't tell me or HR to cancel it, so I spent another 5 hours of my life on this not needed 2nd part without knowing that its already over after such bad feedback. Terrible person, glad I will not work with her.
