I’ve applied to multiple roles at splunk because the technology is amazing. Unfortunately, the culture has never been and will never be a good one. The mediocre intellect and myopic understanding of selling to the enterprise is beyond the pale. From Internal recruiters who are uninspired and lazy and have no understanding of sales, to technical peers who only want someone that looks and acts like them and managers who are ladder climbers only interested in getting promoted and couldn’t care less about developing talent the entire culture is bankrupt and rotten to the core. If you have a pal in a high-level position and can tolerate the stupidity, never hitting your number and all the political maneuvering then maybe it’s something you for you.
