Me postulé a través de un reclutador. Acudí a una entrevista en Specter
Entrevista
After a short intro interview where they talked about the company and I talked about my previous experience, I was given a take-home task.
This task was excessively long, and my submission was rejected for reasons that, according to their own feedback, "the focus definitely wasn't on this." If certain aspects are critical to the evaluation, they should be clearly outlined in the task specification.

Entrevista
One interview to discuss past experience and current job responsibilities, just a casual chat. One take home exercise: create a UI to display a list of companies from data provided and see details of a company, with additional optional steps to add filtering, pagination and create a dashboard with the data. Not much direction other than that and no wireframes or designs provided. They liked the code and approach but thought it was lacking on the design and UX side and offered for me to iterate on it, but I'm a developer, not a designer, and enough time had already been spent on the task so I refused to continue the interview process. The feedback mentioned they wanted me to be unrestrained and "create my own Specter", but things take time and no one is going to spend that much time on a take home exercise. Had they been clear about wanting someone who can both be a lead developer and a product designer I wouldn't have bothered or wasted my time. Having an eye for design and UX is not the same as being a designer, and that is as far as they go in the job and task description.
