Honestly, the most unprofessional interview experience I have ever had or probably will have. Recruiter scheduled a time with me for a phone interview like normal. 15 minutes past the scheduled time, still no call. She emails me saying she was out sick and forgot to let me know, which is an honest mistake and forgivable. She asks to reschedule for the following Monday and I respond and ask what time. I don’t get a response at all. Monday comes and still nothing. I reach out again and she asks to reschedule to Tuesday. Tuesday comes and I wait 10 minutes into my interview time and she emails me saying she’s stuck in a meeting and we push it an hour later. At this point I was annoyed, but things happen so it was understandable. Get to the interview and it was okay, but the interview seemed very lax. The recruiter even swore a couple times, which isn’t a big deal, but unprofessional behavior for an interview. The next day she tells me the hiring team needs some time and asks for a week and I agree. A week or so later I was about to reach out as I hadn’t heard anything. I get an email that I was CLEARLY not supposed to be included on as it was meant to be only internal. The email was discussing compensation for a different candidate for the role I was interviewing for. I respond alerting her to the mistake and get a response apologizing for the mistake. I respond just for a little closure asking if this for sure means I won’t be moving forward in the process and boom. Nothing. No response. No additional apology. Just completely ghosted. I understand that the recruiter was probably extremely embarrassed, but not having the guts or professional demeanor to own to the mistake is insane. All of those things could be forgivable alone, but stacked up gave me a clear idea of the type of people working for this company. Glad nothing came of it.
