I was first contacted to present myself for a C++ skills test and a meeting with the company CEO. The test itself was very challenging, especially if you are required to take it after already having worked for the day for your current work. The lighting was also insufficient which made it really hard to read the printed out test. The questions were really time consuming and the time very limited. It also appeared that all the code was still using the C++98 standard, which is very outdated for current business stadards. The code in the papers was also unindented making it even more time consuming to understand, which after inquiring I was told that was intentionally so as an extra challenge. Also most of the content of the test required knowledge of libraries that is virtually impossible for anyone to know by heart. After the test, there was a short meeting with the CEO. She was mostly friendly, however she made it apparent that some of the answers to the questions she asked, she disapproved of. After two weeks I was contacted again for a close-up meeting with a team leader. We spent almost two hours dicussing and analysing every aspect of the C++ language. Again, the answer for many of the questions were about cornercases that would be hard for anyne to remember, especially under pressure. One thing that everyone in this company did which also made quite an impression to me was that every contact appeared to be on a last name basis. Also, remote working or working from home is strictly not an option.

Firstly, i do a multiple choice questions in C++. After this, i had a 2 hour technical interview, write C++ code and answer questions for c++. Finally, i had an interview with the Chief Executive Officer about soft skills and my experience.
