A woman called me at the scheduled time. I asked for details about the position, the restaurant, and the menu. She wasn't able to provide any information except for extremely vague details that didn't address my actual question. She wasn't able to tell me who the contract was with. She asked for my salary expectations and I gave her a number. She said that wasn't in the budget even though the salary range was clearly listed on the posting. She explained to me that the posted salary range is different than the budget which doesn't make sense. Don't post a salary range if it's not in the budget, post the budget so you're not wasting my time. I ended the interview at this point because I felt it spoke to the dysfunction one would be able to expect working with Sodexo.
