Me postulé en línea. Acudí a una entrevista en Snowflake (Sídney) en oct 2020
Entrevista
I applied online via LinkedIn and got an email with a followup call from India HR after 4 days of submitting the application. Then a followup email with multiple technical questions related to SQL, scripting & general IT support environment. The HR then scheduled 3 technical rounds and 2 managerial rounds , all together I spoke to 5 different people about 1 hour each on zoom video meeting.
Then complete silenced and no followup email or call for 1 month. Then I saw the same job advertised on LinkedIn and Glassdoor again which I think they haven't found their ideal candidate yet.
Waste of time and no transparency on the process.

Pregunta 1
what technologies are you working on, SQL question like what is difference between varchar and varchar2, sql profile, long running queries, difference between function and stored procedure, linux questions related to process and memory, how would you find out environment variables for a program, AWS questions related to S3, EC2, Load Balancers, VPC and Security Groups
I could answer most of the technical questions except some SQLs but not sure what went wrong.

It was around 4 interviews.
3 of them very technical but a lot of repetitive questions.
Getting responses on about next rounds took a bit too long. In my experience, I didn’t have just one HR person to answer, I got responses from different ones.

They want to have a candidate who already knows 90% of their daily chores as they do not want to "waste" time training people for their BAU activities. The interview was a waste of time.

The interviewers were friendly. The questions were answered well enough but not amazingly I guess because I wasn’t selected for further rounds.
Mostly questions were related to snowflake etl and elt processes and how good sql knowledge we have
