The interview was split in 2 stages - a group discussion and an interview with my team lead.
For the group discussion, we had to collaborate and find solutions to a business problem. It was fun and everyone did their best to contribute. Tip for others: Help lift the quiet ones in your group by asking them questions or for ideas. Its not a competition, but more like a measure to see how well you work with others.
The second stage was fun. My Team Lead asked general questions about myself and probed me about my knowledge of the e-commerce industry. I was honest with the things I didn't know and took the time to answer questions. When I got something wrong, he took the time to explain my error and helped me understand the industry better. My Team Lead was a nice guy and I am currently happy working with him.
Overall a good experience. HR was truthful when asked about the negative Glassdoor reviews and helped set expectations about working with the company. However, I'd imagine the process being more tedious and lengthy for a full time position.
Another tip: Understand Shopee's business, the position you are going for, and the market (if you are joining a particular category)
