The most borderline unprofessional recruiting process I’ve experienced thus far. Was contacted by a recruiter intern on LinkedIn. I took several days to reply. Meanwhile, another recruiter from Shopee took the liberty to search up my personal Facebook profile (where my degree was not even publicly listed) to contact me regarding the same position, which I felt was quite unprofessional as Facebook is a personal form of social media. On LinkedIn, the recruiter asked for my CV and grades. Afterwards she extended an offer for a technical assessment, and when I asked what the scope of the assessment would be, she just said “CS Fundamentals” which I felt was extremely vague. We planned for her to send me a link to the assessment at a certain time, in which I planned to finish the assessment on the spot as I am currently working part-time and am not very free. However, even after an hour of waiting, she never sent me the link and this total lack of respect and value for other people’s time is quite telling of the company’s work ethic.
