Me postulé en línea. Acudí a una entrevista en Shell (Port of Spain) en jun 2017
Entrevista
I applied in June 2017 and immediately received emails to complete stage one assessments: an on-demand video interview (self-recorded) and a single aptitude test consisting of three sections verbal reasoning (24 questions), numerical reasoning (16 questions) and abstract reasoning (10 questions). I was allowed 4 minutes per section i.e. 10, 15 and 24 seconds per question in each section respectively. I was unable to complete the verbal reasoning and the numerical reasoning. The video interview was okay but it was something I am not comfortable with i.e. staring at myself speak onscreen (even with a 'dimmer' it was not enough to keep me focused.) I recieved feedback the day after I completed stage 1. A rejection letter stating that there candidates more in line with what they are looking for. The interview questions were not profound for me because it focused on working through conflict and more competency/relationship based questions which I thought I handled pretty okay given my discomfort. After this I submitted my resume for assessment, where automated software detected my work experience as 4 years whereas the programme required 3 years or less. my location was not found and basically the software's assessment showed that i had little or no skills to offer. I have since fine tuned my resume to rectify those issues. be sure your resume is in line! and best wishes. ps the reasoning tests are very different from the practise tests online but it was comparably easier! The timing was my flaw!

The interview process focses on behavioral assessments and technical screenings. Candidates are tested on the "CAR" method, focusing on safety, leadership, and on job competence through structured and in depth questions.
The first round is a recorded video interview. You need to record some videos based on their questions. There were 3 questions or me, which is not very unique. About your project, your interest in Shell.
I recently completed a video interview on HireVue, and the overall experience was pretty interesting. The platform presented a large number of psychological assessment questions along with several prompts focused on workplace morality and ethical decision-making. I appreciated that HireVue allowed unlimited time to record and re-record my video responses, which took a lot of the pressure off and made the process feel more flexible and less rushed.
Each portion of the interview was fairly in-depth and required thoughtful answers, so it ended up taking around 30 minutes per section. The combination of the structured assessments and the freedom to redo videos made the entire interview feel thorough but manageable.
