Initial interview was a standard virtual interview. Second interview was an on-site panel interview with management from just about every functional group despite it not being a management level role, though the expected interaction with so many groups somewhat validated the large panel size.
What was interesting was that the job title and duties stated in the job description did not have much alignment with the expectations stated during the interview process. Both interviews went well according to the hiring manager. However, I was ultimately rejected because I failed to provide supporting materials that no one at any point in the process had asked for. This kind of behavior is ridiculous, insulting, and completely unprofessional. It gave me some unfortunate insight into how poorly the operations are being run on-site with such poor communication being abundant.
