I talked with the VP of engineering about my previous experience, goals, opinions on certain engineering topics etc, and he informed me more about engineering in the Scribe, product, and tech stack. After that, I had a technical interview with the CTO. Then I met the CEO, she explained everything I need to know about the company and the direction where it's going. Finally, I got the offer from the VP of eng. There was a few days between each of those interviews and everyone was super accommodating to my schedule as I was in the different time zone.

The interview process was very straightforward. The first step was a 30 minute phone call wherein I spoke with the lead recruiter and got to know more about the position. Second, I spent an hour with the staff engineer I’d be working with and chatted about code, teams, interests, and all sorts of engineering-specific topics. I also got a very good overview of some of the cool things that were recently shipped and a clear picture of what I’d be working on. The next step would have been a FE-focused hourlong practical coding exercise (no difficult leetcode or anything like that) wherein if you work regularly with React, you would definitely do well. Unfortunately at this stage I received an offer from my dream company (which I thought was about a 5% chance of happening!) so I regretfully pulled out of the interview process. If I did not get that offer, I would have 100% been continuing the interview process with Scribe. Not really sure what happened in the other interview reviews, but that was not my experience at all. The team was very communicative throughout the entire process and my experience was very entirely positive, even after I accepted another offer.
