The interview process took approximately a whopping 5 months, and was super slow and painful.
Continuous re-schedules, HR did not show up at first in an interview, did not know anything about the process for a full month after the technical assesment…
I believe they finally hired me because other candidates that asked for less paycheck ended up tired of waiting and got another job, as I have the feeling that they left me for last and the interviews themselves (as well as the technical case) were very easy and I did pretty well overall; but still took them almost a month and a half to finally make me an offer after having the final interview.
With that said, the process is pretty straightforward:
- 10 min interview with HR which is basically an excuse to ask you about your current salary
- 1 hr interview with people in the department, going through my experience (quite informal)
- Take home technical assignment
- Interview to review the technical assignment submission
- Informal interview with the dptmt’s director
