First interview with the Recruiter. Recruiter gave an initial high level overview of the position and overall make up of the company including how this position currently reports into one department but could move under another one. The interviewer also provided a range of salary and followed up later that week when they said they would. The negative aspect was the interviewer scheduled it for 15 minutes and it felt extremely rushed. While I provided a concise overview of my extensive experience and skillset on this specific platform, it didn't feel like the interviewer was engaged. I currently do this exact same position so it was somewhat of a surprise to receive an automated rejection email. However, i've had to hire for these positions and normally it is a non-technical individual interviewing for a technical position, which they do not understand. A word of advice to the company is ensure the recruiters who are interviewing for the positions understand the landscape and overall ecosystem for these types of positions. Otherwise highly qualified candidates that could provide real value to your company could be unnecessarily rejected.
