I had my first round of interview with HR for half hour and I was being told that I will have my screening round for one hour with the Engineering Manager where we will walk through your CV, understand each others experience and expectations and some theoretical technical questions after which there will be technical round with live coding. I got a email from another recruiter for the interview and I asked what is the interview format just to confirm if I needed to prepare more. But surprisingly I didnt get any response and on the interview, I was being told to solve a coding question. As per the initial HR call, i prepared for the verbal interview which happens with 9/10 companies but this was disappointing :( So far the interviews I have given, the HRs have shared the format and preparation was approachable but this was not expected.
