The entire interview process was quite overwhelming. A candidate going through 5 rounds of interview through a span of 1-1.5 months is exhaustive. However, if the outcome would have been fruitful then you would think it’s worth it. However, after clearing 4 rounds I was rejected in the last round citing the reason they have hired someone else for the interview who was apparently a referral of the person who took my last round. After spending so many hours and multiple discussions it’s very disappointing to hear such news. Ideally, if that would have been the case then you shouldn’t have taken the interviews in the 1st place and saved all of us the time and effort, including the interviewers. This was a traumatizing experience in my opinion and I will save my family and friends from attending any interviews in Roku (if any comes) in the near future. For a person having 15-16 years of experience and having worked with some of the top companies in the world, I would say this is extremely unprofessional.
