The manager was personable and helpful. It was fairly brief, and coupled with an online survey that was to be taken prior to the interview. The second interview for promotion was a bit more in depth with two district managers, who assured me that progress within the company was quite available. This has proven not to be, as movement within the districts are quite stagnant, with the additional problem of union/non union stores making possibilities less so.

I walked into the store and filled out a paper application. I got a callback from the store manager, asking me to take an employment screening. After completing it, she said I was hired. There was no actual interview.

Easy, I knew the person that was interviewing me. Even still we had to talk about the same questions everyone else would. Typical interview questions, like where have you worked before... how long do you plan to stay here.. are you a team player.. what are your three best qualities?

The application and interview were simple and brief. However, waiting for the background check took nearly a month! I was told that this was due to someone being on vacation, but I've noticed that this part of the process causes hiring delays in general.
