Me postulé a través de una recomendación de un empleado. El proceso tomó 3 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Riot Games (Dublín, Dublín)

      Entrevista

The hiring process at Riot took ages. I was sponsored by an employee, received my translation test, and got a short introduction call with the Lead Localisation Coordinator after passing the test. The call helped me better understand the role, the workflow, the tasks, and I was asked to talk about my current role and my skills. The week after the recruiter got back to me to schedule a 4 hours interview with 4 different people (Localization manager, Player Support Manager, Lead Language Coordinator and Localisation QA Coordinator). I must confess that I really enjoied it, the people at Riot are friendly, the interview looked like a normal conversation amongst friends and I had the chance to talk about my ideas and my skills and the technical questions were really interesting (how do you deal with different situations, colleagues, stress, how do you spot mistakes, etc). After 3 weeks the recruiter said that the feedback was very positive and that she wanted to arrange an interview with the EU Managing Director. This was the worst part of the hiring process: I went to their office and talked with the guy for 30 minutes, but he was toying with an iPad, staring at it and smiling for some reasons, and he almost fell asleep in front of me. No need to say I had never experienced something like that. I didn't hear anything from them for almost 1 month, but then, the recruiter sent me another email, no feedback this time, only another interview to schedule, this one with the People operations Manager. This was pretty fast, the same questions once again (Why Riot, why do you want to leave your company, and so on). The week after the recruiter called to say that they were not going to proceed with the final interview (Vice-president), because despite the good feedbacks, they thought my knowledge of the game wasn't so good. This was pretty weird since nobody ever posed me questions strictly related to the videogame. Moreover, they knew from the beginning my level in the game and when told they wouldn't go ahead with me as a candidate for the position I was explained that I had to be at least level 20. On the whole, If on one hand I had a very good impression about the people that work there during the 4 hour interview, on the other hand I have to admit that in the end the company didn't come through as a professional or caring one. Despite my emails and my complete availability for face to face or phone interviews, I have found myself waiting for an answer or a phone call that was scheduled and didn't come more than once.
