The interview process started out very confusing and got stranger along the way. I applied and within a few days received back an email asking me to rate my interview and the recruiter involved. I have never had an interview so I reached out to the company for assistance and was put in touch with a very helpful recruiter who wanted to get to know me.
I was informed that their hiring platform had a glitch and that half of the 90 applicants had been rejected for no reason and was once again placed under consideration.
In the coming days I was promised I would get to meet the hiring manager and receive feedback about my candidacy only to receive back a delayed forwarded email where the hiring manager pointed out things missing from the resume including multiple items that were not in the job description to begin with. I actually have great examples to meet each of the qualifications but was never given the chance to explain myself.
I was once again sent a rejection and despite having pointed out the issue two weeks prior they sent me another survey request asking me to rank my interview, the recruiter involved, and the platform utilized for the interview that never occurred.
The company did not seem to be ready to hire for this role, had the issue with the application system, and then had a hiring manager who was too busy to interview candidates and was focused solely on resume reviews. Being sent an email twice asking me to rank an interview that never occurred showcased that although this is a technology company candidate experience is not at the top of the list of importance. They have a very friendly recruiter but a broken process in hiring.
