Me postulé a través de otra fuente. Acudí a una entrevista en Revolut en oct 2023
Entrevista
Revolut approached me, and the process of booking the "introductory" interview was easy. That's where the "good" ends. The interviewer was a few minutes late, which I can understand, and spent some time explaining the process, which is one of the longest and most intense ones I've been a part of. Besides the intro, they have a technical interview, practical exercise and then a culture fit. Yes, they do it the opposite of every other company I've interviewed with, frontloading the book smarts before you even know if this is the right environment for you. I'm glad I wasted only 30 minutes on this bureaucratic and development by the textbook company.

Keep in mind this was booked as an "introductory interview"; their technicals are separate. Yet I was asked about several acronyms and asked to give dictionary definitions. Whenever I tried to provide more background on how I apply the concepts mentioned in practice, the interviewer rushed me cause they "had more questions to ask" and was only interested in regurgitated definitions.
HR -> Live coding -> Tech -> System design
Overall the before starting the recruitment process it's worth mastering concurrency, DB(especially PostgresSQL), and transaction management. Company seems to be working mostly with Java, Kotlin and a little with Scala
I got contacted by a recruiter. As a first step, I had a call with another recruiter. He was also asking technical questions, but it felt strange. (A bit like talking to a wall.)
I was rejected with a generic message stating that I was not "aligned with the position". This is weird as it was inbound and based on my profile. No feedback, of course.
Waste of time.
Very kind. The questions weren’t easy, but with knowledge of database configurations, concurrency, locks, and some practical experience, you are able to answer them clearly, confidently, and effectively overall. It was good time.
