      Entrevista

After applying I received an email to complete an online test (60 mins, c.22 questions). The test consisted of a mix of logic, maths and general verbal explanation questions. I submitted and passed. I was then emailed to complete an 'Ops Challenge' which was solving a real problem the company previously had, there were 'bonus' questions too. They sent sheets of data to analyse as part of your answer (which was a one page report or five-slide presentation). I submitted this and was told I didn't find all of the solutions to their problem so they won't be proceeding with my application. The Ops challenge was not a five minute task and I ended up wasting my time. First of all, it's ridiculous that no one from the HR team even phoned for a chat or explanation or a simple phone screening to actually get to know me first. I didn't receive a single phone call the entire time. I had asked what the salary would be before wasting my time on the Ops challenge, I was given a generic "it's based on your experience" but was asked what I would expect, I replied and the HR contact did not confirm if it would be in that region, in fact she ignored my email altogether and I didn't get a reply. It's incredibly arrogant of a company to think it's OK to send out long-winded tests to potential candidates as an initial screening without even phoning first. I'd expect tests/problem solving to be later on in an interview process. Given how they conduct their hiring process, I wouldn't expect this company to treat their employees well (it's evident in actual reviews from employees) so perhaps I dodged a bullet in failing the Ops challenge.
