Me postulé a través de una recomendación de un empleado. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Remitly (Seattle, WA) en feb 2019
Entrevista
Initial phone screen, second round with a product member on the team (case studies and behavioral), then a 7-hour on-site in Seattle.
Interviewers were all extremely well-prepared and know what they're looking for. Something I appreciated about Remitly after interviewing for many start-ups and large corporations is that Remitly allows you to engage with the product/work during the interview, hence giving you a taste of how working on the job would feel like. Everyone was pleasant and patient in answering my questions and after a while, it felt more like a conversation than an interview. People are unafraid to have open conversations and everything was transparent. It seems like everyone at the firm has a strong sense of purpose and aren't looking for just another employee (ie. they're willing to hold out for the right person to come by and are truly looking for skills and fit).
The on-site is a bit longer compared to other tech companies like AMZN and MSFT, but it's not supposed to be intimidating. While it is a little draining, I can see why the process is what it is to find the best fit. Overall extremely professional and intelligent workforce!

Examples you've worked with data.
Tell me about your favorite product (be prepared for a lot of follow-up questions to dive deep).
Many case questions about the company's product (including A/B testing, lifts, SQL whiteboarding).
Loop interview consisted of 6 total interviews. Standard behavioral questions based on previous experience. Each interview was aligned with one of Remitly’s values. Each interview was with a stakeholder I would potentially work closely with in the role.

Had a phone call with the recruiter, and then a video call with the hiring manager. Had another video call with the hiring manager, where she started to ask questions like "Tell me about a time when you......" and then near the end of the call, she told me that I am not a fit and would cancel the following interviews already scheduled with others. I would guess I did not provide the answers that the hiring manager wanted to hear.

I went through a 6 week long interview process. It was disorganized and unprofessional. At times I received no response. At times I was asked why I didn't respond to emails that I had never received, due to technical issues they were experiencing. Last minute interviews were added and cancelled. It was emphasized to me how important it was that I memorize the company values--and I spent my own valuable time doing so--only for it to be completely unnecessary. After the final round I was abruptly given a rejection right before my very last interview and was given no reasons. It was shocking. I have never experienced such a dehumanizing interview process before. For a company that preaches its values, they don't apply the same respect to their applicants.
