I submitted my application on career website of my school. And it took about 2 weeks to get the appointment for first phone screen. Just some mails asking your availability and kindly scheduled possible time for you. After the schedule for phone screen is set, you are also notified which recruiter will contact you at time scheduled. And the first phone screen for me included a technical problem to design a algorithm.

Except some general questions, the technical one I was given was asking you to design a algorithm. The question is like...a text file given, how do count the times a specific word appears in it. Moreover, how do you count the total appearance time of the words with specific prefix given.
