      Entrevista

      I have never experienced such an unprofessional and rude company before. From multiple people calling over 30mins late for phone interviews, to not a single person (had contact with at least 5) who gave me their email and said to "email with any questions " never once returning an email. I had multiple interviews with multiple people at RealSelf and in every one you could hardly hear the person speaking do to the "open" work environment and multiple people speaking loudly in the background. Not to mention being told I was a "perfect fit" for both positions and that I would hear from someone in a week though after multiple follow up emails (which of course go unanswered) and weeks of waiting I was never contacted. Not even a "sorry but we found someone else". Looking back I am glad I did not accept a position at RealSelf. Not only were people very unprofessional but if you read through a majority of glassdoor interview reviews you will notice a pattern of them not returning emails, leading people on and hiring mostly people with "employee referrals" ....in other words they hire only "buddies" which makes a very unproductive work environment. Going by all the loud noise, jesting and chit chat in the background I can only assume nothing gets done. My advice to RealSelf is start hiring a more productive and less talkative team. Also teach them some basic professional skills about being on time for interviews, not leading candidates on and returning emails.

      While an open environment can encourage cross team communication, it does at time present issues when connecting with new candidates via phone. We’re working on addressing this actively. On the flip side, you have hit on an issue we are always working to improve, how we communicate with candidates. Our goal is to reply to candidates in a timely fashion, and I apologize if you felt that it did not happen in this instance.
