Entrevista
I applied online and HR called me back to set an appointment for a phone interview with another HR recruiter, they were very punctual with their phone call, they asked some usual questions about what my responsibilities were in my previous job, if I knew anything about the company, why was I looking for another job, and the second part was technical questions. Such as How do you connect remotely to a Linux server, What's the difference between Telnet and SSH, What are the advantages or what is VPN, what is IPsec? Why is a stateful firewall better? For IPsec what would I choose ESP or AH and why?

Your interview process will greatly depend on the manager of the team with the open slot. They have full control of this process and they can be completely different. They will most likely ask you technical questions directly related to your role though and they are often well thought out as the Network Security folks are proficient.

They were looking for technical skills as well as personality fit. Interviewers are usually future co-workers who may or may not know much about judging people. Sometimes you get the impression you're dealing with some whose life has been spent playing video games and now is in control of your fate.
