A nightmare. The worst interview process I've been a part of out of 15+ in my career.
Qventus went out of their way to boast about their interview process during the HR phone screen, noting that they have it streamlined so it would be an HR phone screen, one take home assignment, two interviews, and a decision. This was also listed on their website.
Instead, what actually happened was this:
HR Phone Screen (salary range discussed and agreed upon)
Take Home Assignment
Interview 1
Interview 2
Interview 3 cancelled 15 minutes before start time
Three weeks of no communication
Call from HR to explain that they could now only offer 70% of agreed upon salary range, offered that I could interview for a different position instead which would be 1-2 more interviews, I agreed
Interview 3
Interview 4
Interview 5 (was assured before this that this would be the LAST step)
Request for multiple references
At this point I told their HR that their process had begun to feel disrespectful, and declined to provide references. HR then gave me a call to apologize and asked again for references, promising that this was the last step of their process and couldn't be circumvented
One week later I received an email rejecting me for the position.
I should also note that out of the five formal interviews, the interviewers were at anywhere from 4-10 minutes late on four of the five occasions.
Overall, this process took almost exactly THREE MONTHS. Just awful.
