      Entrevista

They called all excited that my past experience potentially qualified me for a Management position, and asked me to be no more and no less than 10 minutes early for my 10am interview. When i arrived there was a line of about 15 people outside the door and the doors were locked and the place looked closed! We all waited until just about 10am when a lady came out from around the corner, unlocked the door, flipped the light on and then started shaking hands with each person letting us in. We were all instructed to take a seat, fill out the "Info Sheet" on our chair, and wait patiently. She then went through a door in the back of the room and disappeared for 10 more minutes leaving us all to listen to rock music on the stereo while we waited. When she came back she was all energized, walking around talking about how excited she is we're all here, she's gonna tell us a little about the company, then we'll all get a "Rapid one-on-one interview" and if we're selected for a 2nd interview she'll tell us everything we need to know and we'll get to decide if their company is a good fit for us. Then she proceeded to go on and talk about dust mites and their fecal matter, how badly we need our air purified so we're not breathing them in, and how their company is actually a portion of a company called RexAir. After what felt like a sales pitch for a product instead of a job she lets us know we ALL start out at the bottom and earn our way up, there is potential for advancement in as little as 30-60 days as they want to get this office going smooth so they can start up the next one in another state. She let us know we'd be going on appointments to tell people more about the companies product, answer questions they have, and of course try and get them to "upgrade" to our product. (She kept throwing around the word Rainbow?) For this we'll be paid a base salary of $1000 a week if we can complete 20 appointments a week, UNLESS we sell the product at the appointment, then we are given $200 per sale INSTEAD of our "base pay". After the presentation she asked us to all write down on he back of our info sheet who we are and why they should hire us. Then told us to line up and she'd meet with us one on one outside the front door as we leave. She also told us to call their office in an hour and see if we've been selected to come back for a 2nd interview tomorrow from 10-2:30 where they provide lunch and she'll only be bringing back the top 5% of the people she's met this week. I got about 60 seconds with her outside the door, at which point she looked at my resume and said "Oh i see you have experience working in the field, you should be one of the first people to call back and ask about tomorrow!" I called back and was told "Congratulations you've been selected to come back tomorrow!", at this point i was feeling like something really fishy was going on. So i did a little research online and it turns out RexAir is the manufacturer of the Rainbow Vacuum system, which is only available via appointment (i.e. door to door sales) and sells for approximately $2000 per vacuum. Then i went on to read additional reviews on how companies like Quality Air, Inc are legit, however they are just "Distributors" for Rexair, and their job is to get new people to come on board, work all the leads they have personally, and replace them when they get burnt out after a few weeks. Needless to say selling vacuums door to door is not my dream job!

      Preguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pregunta 1

No questions were asked. It really seemed like an "Anyone willing to come back is welcome" scenario
