I applied online through a job website and the interview process took an incredible 10 weeks. I first did a phone interview a week after I applied. Nothing out of the ordinary, just personality questions. The interviewer was an HR person and knew nothing about the position. 2 weeks later I did a phone interview with my would-be manager. It was pleasant and she actually talked about the position in detail. 2 weeks later I did an in house interview with the previous mentioned interviewer, her boss and 2 co workers. Again it was very pleasant and easy. No hard questions. A week later I get an email from the head of HR that my interviewers liked me but it would another 2 weeks that they would hear from me because they were busy with an upcoming trade show. I'm getting kind of frustrated but I still anxiously wait because the position and the company sounded amazing. I get an email within that week asking for a background check and employment history. I am really stoked now. I promptly return the requested material. 2 weeks go by. I receive an email stating that the position has closed.
