Interview went great, I was asked questions about my qualifications. I was told that I would be hearing from the HR department with a pay offer soon, and that it would be from corporate HR because the facility did not currently have a local HR person. I waited a full week without hearing anything. Emailed the HR recruiter who had scheduled my interview, she stated that she would “call right now and find out.” I waited another week and still did not hear anything. I emailed her again and was told “I was on vacation, I’ll find out.” I also reached out to the very sweet DON who I interviewed with. A few hours later I received an email stating that I was passed up for the position I had already been offered. At the same time, I also received a reply from the HR recruiter stating that it was because “my pay requirement couldn’t be met,” even though I never stated how much I wanted to be paid, which is why I was waiting on a pay offer from HR in the first place. After that, the DON replied to my text stating that I was passed over because “the facility decided to change the position requirements to a full time weekend 12 hour shift” position, even though the posted shift I applied for and was offered was listed as “part time, every Saturday and Sunday, 8 hour shifts.” I waited 2 weeks for a rejection when I could have been notified sooner. I took my only day off that week to interview and was excited to be offered the position. I had two other offers from two other facilities, which I kept waiting because I was interested in the 8 hour position at this facility, and because I really liked the DON that I interviewed with there. This entire process has been disappointing and disrespectful of my time, and it reflects poorly on how this facility is ran and managed. I hope that HR treats their employees better than their potential candidates.
