      Entrevista para Marketing Project Manager

Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Project World Impact (Saint Charles, IL) en jul 2024

      Entrevista

The interview process was in two rounds. The first round was virtual, with the hiring manager and an executive leader whose son founded the company. It went well. However, they were vague about the growth within the company. They have an "executive plan written down." They had nothing to say about its implementation. When I was asked to come back for a 2nd interview, this time in person, I was told it was the hiring manager and some of the direct people I would meet and show me around the office. No. I was briefly shown around (5 minutes most) and then sat at a table in front of two additional people from the direct team and drilled on more questions. When I asked how they bring community within the workplace, they said they talked to Starbucks daily for an hour. I wondered if they went to other places, e.g., restaurants or independent coffee shops. The dad, whose son runs the company, said, "If you don't like Starbucks, you can't work here." I don't know if he meant that in a joking way, but he said it without a smile and did not laugh awkwardly like the other people in the room. The hiring manager said this was a get-to-know-you session where I could ask questions. Yet, they only gave me less than 5 minutes to ask questions at the end of the interview. When I asked how I would be trained, they didn't have an answer other than I would be provided the best training from one person. Before I could ask any more questions, the hiring manager also said, this was nice, but she had a meeting, and it was time for me to leave. Nobody stood to shake hands or exit me; I thanked them and left. It was a weird experience all around. There was also an unprofessional rejection letter from the company; they sent my rejection via messages on Indeed rather than through their email communication.
