Met with three individuals. Spoke mostly about good and bad customer service and my experience as it relates to the field. Very relaxed vibe, they made it easy for me.

Submitted my resume online and was contacted the next day via email from a corporate recruiter to schedule a phone interview for later that week.
Standard phone interview/pre-screening, reviewed the position, company, my background/experience & salary history. I was informed that this opening had a slightly lower salary than my previous position, but not much. I was told that it would be at least a week before an in person interview could be setup, but I was called the next day to schedule the in-person interview for the following day (I'm guessing based on my background they made time for me??)
The in-person interview went very well and was very relaxed. The office manager was/is amazing and I was excited about the opportunity. I was told thaf there would be a follow up interview with the local office manager and a VP from the corporate office.
That phone interview was interesting, the local office manager was unable to ask any additional questions as the VP dictated the flow of the rapid fire questions that mainly focused on my experience with payroll at one of their competitors and slightly went over at my client services/support background with general/standard questions.
Just shy of a week later someone from the corporate HR department contacted me with an offer that was extremely lower than what had been discussed previously, she stated that she would look into the discussed salary and would reach out to me as quickly as possible...not even 5 minutes later she called me back and informed me that there was zero room for negotiations & that they had only budgeted for her offered amount. She made it obvious that she wanted an answer right then, so I had to ask a couple of times for 24hrs to think about it and to review my options.
I have declined the offer & have yet to hear back from anyone at their corporate office.

The first step is the phone interview where you will be asked to describe your current and previous jobs and what you did at each one. The questions were pretty basic interview questions so if you prepare for the usual customer service scenario questions you should be fine. The interviewer was very pleasant and mad the whole experience not as stressful as interviews usually are.I was told it would take about a week to hear if I am selected to move forward in the interview process.
