      Entrevista

      The WORST experience interviewing at any company. Completed a cognitive test and personality assessment, then HR Screening and Hiring Manager Interview. So far so good. Within a few days, I received an email and voice mail indicating they wanted to move me forward in their process and schedule the next interview. I called back 90 minutes later and was told me they just signed someone for the role. That's it. No explanation about why they didn't follow through with their own stated process. This is the VISTA way - Vista being the equity owner. They like to hire what they call HPLEs - High Performers with Low Experience that they can hire cheaply. (This was in a Forbes article.) Even for a director level position. So if you have the 5 years of experience they're asking for in the position, don't bother applying because they're really looking for a HPLE.

I am ultimately responsible for the experience our candidates have throughout the recruiting process and it is important to me that, while our process has many steps, it is transparent. For every search we have multiple candidates in varying stages of our process. We continue to recruit as if the position is open until it is filled with a signed offer letter. It is good to know that we closed the loop with you once an offer letter had been signed. Finally, your review suggests you advanced to the later stages of our process meaning you would be able to bypass the assessments if you are ever interested in another opportunity at PowerSchool.
