Great HR Experience, Disappointing Manager Interviews. Pros: The initial screening with the HR representative was excellent. She was professional, engaging, and clearly explained the role and company culture. The process moved quickly, with the second round scheduled for the very next day. Cons: The interview with the hiring managers was a sharp contrast to the positive first impression. One interviewer appeared completely disinterested, maintaining a monotone voice throughout. The second interviewer was frequently distracted, looking at and smiling at another screen during my responses, which made it clear they were not actively listening. Despite my detailed explanation of how my CRM (Salesforce/HubSpot) and technical skills (SQL/Python automation) were transferable to their specific needs, I was later asked a basic question I had already thoroughly addressed ("Are you a coder?"). When I asked a strategic question about reporting gaps, the managers seemed unable or unwilling to provide a concrete answer. It felt like my preparation and experience weren't being given a fair shot by the leadership team.
