There were several stages.. 1. Phone screening chat to find out salary expectations etc. 2. Zoom meeting with hiring manager 3. Writing test 4. Meeting in the office in London with hiring manager and remote interview with two execs in Seattle 5. Zoom meeting with senior person in editorial 6. Personality test and non-verbal reasoning test 7. Remote Zoom meeting with a potential colleague. The company seemed to be positive and I enjoyed meeting them. I fully expected to get an offer at this point. Indeed, I recall that the Zoom meeting was labelled as a `pre-offer check.' A couple of days after the final stage, the recruiter messaged me to say they were wrapping up with other candidates at a similar stage to me and were likely to get back in a week. Twelve or so days later, they emailed me with a rather generic message to say that they were progressing with other candidates instead. I politely asked for feedback, but they told me that Pitchbook does not give it. This seemed rather unhelpful and unfair considering the amount of time and effort I had put in. What's more, a week or so later I was asked for feedback on the process via a third party. Ultimately, I think the process had far too many stages and took too long. Seems that they are happy to waste their time and that of their candidates.
