I had an initial discovery interview and then an interview with the hiring manager. This was pretty thorough discussing why I wanted the role, giving certain scenarios and asking what I'd do in them and also discussing strengths, weaknesses, skills etc. After that I had to draft an opinion piece based on some work that Pinterest were doing. I didn't get through to the final round after this.

The interviews themselves were focused, efficient, and thoughtful. The questions were smart and direct, and I appreciated meeting four different colleagues across different levels of the organisation. It gave me a well-rounded sense of the culture, the team, and the expectations of the role. Overall, Pinterest handled the process with a level of honesty, professionalism, and consideration that truly stood out. It left a very positive impression of the company and how they treat candidates.
