The initial application went smoothly. However, communication with the recruiter was tortuous and unhelpful. After 3 weeks of chasing, I gave up and applied to a different firm. If it's this difficult to get someone to answer the phone / emails when they're trying to give a good impression, God only knows what the internal communications are like.
